a reflection on the amusing habits of some to hug everyone in cyberspace..verbally

You are lavish with your hugs

I's cute to note
how many smile and dote
and fawn and wheedle
for a distant lover's hug

and generously
all compliant
the benign
hug left, right, and center

after all, a cyber hug
leaves no dandruff
on their shoulders
nor the spots of tears

left behind by
the really untouched
and a bodycheck
finds no bruises

I am here
an untouched poet
with a skin yearning
and unruffled enough

by real emotions
to write about it

Yes a great little poem about the fear and bonds created in cyber space, the thing is, if we seriously want to write, then this cyber world is our office, which is much better than in the old days, don't ya think? Much higher survival rate and so inspiring, rubbing shoulders with other artists of the world. I love it. Smiling at you, Tai. A bit picky with my xx and hugs too, I take all relationships as I find them and usually quite genuinely and seriously.

I remember when I first came online, feeling a little awkward with all those cyber hugs etc but over time I've realised that its just a gesture of friendship - You do build up a rapport with some people. I'm still a little reticent with my (((hugs))) - I personally do have to feel I know someone fairly well, even in good old cyberland - but I appreciate that for many, it is a way of connecting with someone, who in most cases you will never know in the real world. Good poem, I enjoyed the read
