distant goodnight
im sitting here on the window silllooking out into the night
the air crisp and cold
and i can almost feel your warm embrace so tight
the night is silent and still
and i gaze up at the stars
thoughts of what you're doing
wondering where you are?
thousands of miles away
didnt think it would be this hard
but the tears are flowing now
there's a longing in my heart
tears glistenin on my cheeks
from the light of the moon
absence makes the heart grow fonder
and we'll be together again soon
just know that im thinking of you
and i hope that you're alright
wishing you sweet dreams,my love
