Victim's of the Lumberers

Tis eons since this tale been told,
when young trees to their fathers ask,
that things so wise, and things so old,
should fall beneath the young one's axe,

For now these these trees they fear to speak,
as men all over lumber,
stand up with roots instead of feet,
forever stay in slumber.
