A Slice Of Natures Best

Take my hand and lead me over
Pastures green with fields of clover
Rivers deep with hills to climb
To walk in woods of scented pine

To tread the earth on fallen leaves
That shift and crackle with the breeze
To smell the freedom in the air
Watch Gods own creatures every where

Stroll through clearings decked with flowers
To sit and while away the hours
Give mind and body both a rest
And bask in what is natures best.

Zoya Zaidi
To face the sun's very first ray,
To bathe in moon-beam the night away,
To sit and gaze the stars above,
To climb the mountains, up above,
To touch a dew drop, tenderly,
To catch the snow flake, eagerly,
To smell a fragrant flower a while,
To inhale the smell of parched earth,
After the first shower of rain on this Earth...
Oh, Graham you have made my day,
I'll bask in the sunshine of your words whole day...
(((((Hugs for bringing the sunny smile on my face)))))
Love, xxx, Zoya

beautiful like a hymn to Nature, this text has only one defect - it makes me long for the spring...

Dear Pen

I see more and more of your love of nature in your work. You have such a wonderful way of always taking me away from this desk when i read your beautiful poems...and i do so need that nudge.

As always your words shine!

This was beautiful friend!

Natures romance.

An underlying religious theme makes it reflective.

Thanks! =)
