just thinking about a cat's life -- one that's loved of course
The Cat's Meow
Cats have it made
I want to be a cat some day
I want to curl up on a lap
And gently paw and slap
A fuzzy little toy
And sleep with my favorite boy
Stretch out my legs and splay my claws
I want to scratch up the furniture and walls
I want to shed wherever I walk
I want to meow when I talk
I want someone to stroke my fur
And lay by my side while I purr
I want to eat whatever I like
And snub my nose then take a hike
I want to rub myself between the legs
Of the one who has the privilege
To have me in their life for awhile
And possibly I might give them a smile
Oh, I want to be a cat someday
And show the world my superior way
Of living.
