THIS IS A FICTIONAL POEM.

My life is flashing before my eyes

As I'm being rushed to the hospital, my life is flashing before my eyes.
I took a bad fall and it's possible that I may die.
I have four kids at home and they are wonderful lads.
It breaks my heart to know that they may lose their dad.

The ambulance is blasting its siren and it will soon arrive.
I swear that I'll tell my kids that I love them if I survive.
I've taken my family for granted but I won't anymore.
If I survive, I'll be a better husband and father than I was before.
