My love for you

I don't know what I should do with all the feelings that come through
I've searched the net and there were you,
My love for you
I dreamed a dream where you appeared, calling out my name it's true
My love for you has never ended, what about you?

I heard it clearly, your voice of softness true
you talked into my heart the words I've been longing for
But I don't know what I should do
with the facts that I've been going through
do I dare to lift the phone and ask: How do you do?

I walked the streets for hours till I came to your gate
My heart beat hundred times a sec, I thought I had to wait
Then I saw you at a distance, accompanied with another man
my heart went broke, I froze, I died a thousand times...

I had to get away but the passing couldn't be done
without her watching me, I just stood there as a fool
then she saw me, a smile upon her face: Hello, how are you?
A lightning struck me, she said:
Oh, those days were fun, our days were fun.

She hugged me and she kissed me, she looked straight into my eyes
she said: You're 30 years late, cause this, this is my man!
Come in and have a coffee, we still have memories to go through
I answered: I can't do that I'm just passing by.

But I got in and got my cup, I'm sure it wasn't me
the man said: You owe her this, cause I too heard of you
you broke her heart I know, but that was long ago
I helped her to get over you,
so take goodbye and then please go.

Yes I did and I walked out into the misty day
I still hear her lovely voice: Take care and all the best!
Her words ringing in my head, I went straight for a pub
to drown my sorrows and the dream I have had.
