Nadiya was an Afghan poet; who killed by her husband in Dec 2004.

Dear poets what should be our response to this?

NADIYA

You went
through
that net
between
life and death.

At last in the net
poetry remained...
life drained away.

I never heared
someone said
about you;
about your
closed book...
by high brained ones..
by daily wage speakers..
no one.. no none...
in that closed room
you slept as a poetry
which is unread by any.

Your needled
flower...
one spring..
windy age....
rain map...
identity..
address..

He feared those
which
went beyond his address.

Nadiya
I knows that
there is that man
is inside
me also
who killed you.

This is a terrible thing that happened. i am truly sorry for what happened and this poem is so telling of her martyrdom.

Poets have bee sometimews peresecuted for what they write.

and we should all abhor that fact deeply

rgds Mike well done for your support of her memory

i wonder why no one yet
responded to a poem like this.
the content is so serious and should be
discussed. dear poets open your
eyes, come down to the reality from
the skys.

I can hear Nadiya is crying.
i can feel her loneliness.
