Burma

We are not interested in your bloody agendas
We want to help the people.

Fuck off you bastard politicos!

Do you want your country rancid
As you count on your fingers your points?
Dead men are floating down rivers
As you sit and debate over tables
That surely are not empty.

Look us in the eye
And say you are doing your best.

For the people.

I have a Burmese student in my class who is very bereft as all communications have been shut. No electricity.

A few months ago I read a book about an expedition to Burma and of the immense struggle of its people and the political regime that presides over it. It is unbelievable just seeing and reading what is going on and the suffering of its people

The whole thing is so scarey and unbelievable. Glad someone has written about it here, I have been trying but am unable to come up with anything.
Human suffering is such a part of life, and yet we could stop it if we really cared enough.
Having said that, i once worked for a charity, and now i will not contribute to any charity, as i saw such mal administration of funds...human greed transcends everything.

Saga
Everyone is a victim of their own success, when the powers that be choose to be oppresive and the ones that will always suffer are the ones who are being oppressed. And as karma shows us everybody pays. All we can do is first, help ourselves and then next, teach those to help themselves from experience, not as a pusher.
