And so they said goodbye :-)

Four Inch Nail

I think I'll stay a while
Though i have nothing left to say.

I just want a little time
To collect some memories
Before i walk away.

You fixed my picture to the wall
The nail went through my heart.

You told me love was jealousy
It just depended on ones view.

But i was blind i could not see
The truth behind the word deceive.

So what remains a four inch nail
My picture on the floor.

And as it bleeds I wonder why
I ever knocked upon your door.

You knocked because it was the right door, you say goodbye because it is no longer a door you feel comfortable entering Rik. I love the title, reminds me of the 9 inch nails band, very powerful work. I love the expression I heard as a child, that for every door that shuts another opens before you! All part of the journey my friend, hug from Tai

Jealousy is very destructive in a relationship, you have to have trust - or how I read into this poem. The pain of saying goodbye is always so hard
