THE SIMPLE LIFE

Oh, how I miss the simple life.
The yearnings of a sour strife
never to come back no more.
No more bore for sure.

All my worries have now sailed away,
off to the horisone, come what may.
Not a cloud in sight, not a single fight,
just a clearblue sky and a rocksteady light.

Now I start my days with a whistle of a tune
but the tunes gets annoying by noon.
And then I'm bored, like you wouldn't believe.
Oh simple life, leave - just leave!

Oh how I miss the complex life.
The yearnings of a long lost strife
to come back again, to knock at my door.
No more bore for sure.

Kathy Lockhart
We often yearn for things we do not have and then when we get them find we miss the things that were replaced. We often think that life would be so much better without all the stresses. Then when life starts calming down we miss the challenges that those stresses brought to our life and we long for the complexities again.
You have a way of expressing yourself so fluidly which carries the reader down the river of your life.
