with the things going on in my life, it has sadly led me to question my faith in God. do we control our future? or does someone else, something else, have it all mapped out for us?

is it us or them?

we leave our lives for fate to deliberate,
for God to juggle, choose and eliminate,
and for our friends and loved ones to help liberate.

we trust ourselves to let them guide
the life that we just left aside
the life that we let slip by, oh how we tried

or maybe we control it all,
from a past life, a past experience we happen to recall
we are deciding our own future, answering that call

do we make decisions? do we make a choice?
or do we have no opinion? are we allowed no voice?
whatever it may be, in our lives we rejoice.

For me this is wonderful!
We all ask this question if we are smart enough.
Sadly many people wont or are not afforded such luxury.
The fact we ask guarantees a form of happiness.
imho only ;)

Elle The PoetBay support member heart!
I think at some point most of us question faith. I don't believe that anything is preordained, we make choices, good or bad that lead us in several directions - I think I'm still one of those who has never had a clear or direct path - I think like a lot of people I try and muddle through, thanks for this thought provoking poem and I hope things become clearer for you in time
