will heaven be this busy?

lying
on
a heather bed
a skylark's call
from heaven
I wonder
when
I shall be free
of gravity's pull
upon me
and as the cirrus clouds
do feather
a blue broad firmament
and a beetle battles
with my beard
I wonder
as he wanders
will heaven be
this busy?

The alliterative image of the beetle is simply delightful!

It is good to think on such things. I think God smiles when we do. One thing I know is I plan to see you there along with my favorite poet, Michael, who just went home. I shall rejoice in the reunion. : ) kathy xx

Hi Peter..good thoughtful poem...
I don't give too much concern to how busy heaven will be as I
don't expect to make it up there...How lucky you are to
be so certain that you will...

Well perhaps it will be, I guess we keep on being human always,,,
But, hey I hope heaven will wait ...

A beautiful poem as always with your words I get carried away and reach inside my heart and walk along inner roads ,,,,

All my best

Interesting take on being dead; the wonder/wanders play is VERY nice.

As Nick says, the brevity of your words give such heartfelt musings new meaning. Beautiful writing and I hope that you are well.
