You turned your eyes

in my direction



I turned my head

into the burning reflection

was stunned

heart arrested

the catch in my throat

hitches a ride

into desire for that matching

pair of eyes

making mine shine brighter

than the full moon now.



And when in time

the waning moon slivers low

in the dusky mornings

I will know

you looked my way

and I grow again full into

my being

because of you.
