New! Featured Exhibition 6/12/08

We, the Editorial Team, have decided to start a new feature in order to give more attention to an overlooked, but equally important, part of PoetBay.

For the first time, we are recommending an exhibition link to our fellow writers/poets. It will remain on the front page for a week. We hope that you find something that you like in it, and that you will take the time to write a comment both on this post and the post(s) within the Exhibition itself.

For your general information, the URL in the introduction section to this post is the URL for the main Exhibitions page. It may also be accessed by clicking on the "Exhibitions" link on the "Read Texts" page. Check it out! You won't be dissatisfied.

It would be could to define the catergories in the exhibition so that they can easily be located. Rather than having the catergories under the name. Like when I go shopping I go down the soup aisle and find different names and brands and select the one I want. It is easy to locate and I don't have to look for soup all over the supermarket, it can be the same with poetry or art.

An excellent initiative, guys!

Until now, the Exhibition section of this site has been almost invisible: many members don't even seem to have noticed its existence at all.

I also agree with Dan on the fact that it would be VERY refreshing to see some new artwork in the upper right corner of poetbay's main page!

Although the site is primarily a poetry web site, it is not only limited to that. There are mechanisms for posting haiku, words, essays, diaries, and short stories, along with creating and posting Exhibitions and Books. Regarding videos, we see the differing viewpoints, and welcome additional ones. Please rest assured that all members' thoughts and ideas will be given due and proper consideration.

Nick Matherne
personally I completely disagree with Dan
Sorry, but this is a poetry website, meant for the expression in that form... videos?
I mean that is nice and all...
but make your own site for that...

***************************

I think this is a good idea and take
away that old uggly pictures up in
the right corner and replace them
with peoples exhibitions . . .

its on time now, not a day too late!!!
We have to profile poetbay and change
some things a little stepp at time beacuse
poetbay looks like the Swedish poeter.se
to much . . . we have to create poetbay
not the sister site of old poeter.se!

I think that if we can do that if the site is
going to grove . . . and it should be a great
thing if we could handle videos on the site
beacuse we are living in a media age and
it is not so hard to make it work out!!!

Oh and why could we not se whos
been on my page any more???

Lets make poetbay to be a place for
groving and creation

All the best to the hard working team!
