Humans in Hades
The Gods raged war against the Titans and so They Fall,Man challenged the Gods and defeated them all
Hades corrupted Man who wished to be Gods
and so Man is destined to Fall
Imperfect as born, instincts on which we rely
become the same things we despise
desire is raw, uncomplicated and crass
not restrained by power, creed, colour or class
spirits as we choose to believe
from our corpses they leave
to become Gods or Devils to those who survive,
Maybe its better when still alive
Everlasting life through memories of others
only proof of our existence
Fortune and all physical wealth whittles away as inheritance
so make good times with those with us
