This poem is dedicated to the Australian soldier who got shot at afgahistan. He was new in my family my cousins husband they only just got married and he had a son that was born a few days before he had to leave.


One More Great Loss

One more to add to the list
Which is now nine
One more that left his country
One more that left his home
One more that left his friends
One more that left his family
One more that left his son
One more that left his wife
One more widow
One more fatherless son
He left all this
To do his duty
To try and give to another country
But he gave more than most people
He gave away his future
To try and create a future for others
But now this country has lossed
A great man
A great soldier
A great friend
A great son
A great father
A great husband
He gave his future
To create a future for others
