Final Goodbyes

The seraphic sun has gone away
The bittersweet breeze quietly cries

Broken branches bend and sway
Fingertip twigs scratch lunar eyes

Darkness descends and abounds
Azure mauve skies turn and melanize

Sepulchral silence entombs the sounds
On the day we exchanged final goodbyes

Your warmth forever left my day
Leaving me grievously asking why

The seraphic sun has gone away
The bittersweet breeze quietly dies

Such a rewarding read! I love your descriptive words. They are unexpected and magical in the pictures they paint in this reader's mind. An emotional walk from first word to last.
