Sister of Darkness

Oh sweet love of ebony hair
Covering shoulders so smooth and so bare
Your porcelain skin in a lights rosy glow
In the tilt of your head, I see arrogance show

Tempestuous beauty, who none can compare
So many to duel for your favours they dare
With eyes of blue sapphire that sparkle and flash
In the tilt of your nose, contempt for the brash

But your heart is as black as the beads of jet
that you wear round your neck so hardened and set
But I see that chink in the armour you wear
Oh loveliest creature I see the soul in your stare

So lend me sweet ear for secrets to whisper
As desire for my touch on your skin sends a shiver
I'll breathe in your fragrance in your soft skinned nape
You ache for my touch, in suspense you wait

'More and yet more' is the purr as you die
The slayer of your soul as I sup your blood dry
As your skin turns grey and eyes turn opaque
I quench my thirst, in passion to slake

No more pretty baubles as tokens of desire
Or cool disdain at a young man's fire
For now we shall stalk as the hours grow dim
From the marshes of hell, we will come out to sin

Tempting young lovers for their souls to give
Heedless of evil, from death they will live
And so is the cycle reborn and reborn
Sisters Satanic, against angels new dawn

Purple Phoenix
Incredibly seductive and dark... A fantastic piece of work this is! Wow! x

Amazingly perfect meter; you have a gift for it. And not a single forced or awkward rhyme! I have a great appreciation for highly structured poetry--those who never write it can only imagine how much work goes into it and how satisfying the results can be when it's successful like this poem.
