Reckless Spirit's Peace




Haunting ghosts bring spirit's peace
when the past so reckless is put at ease,
memories of pain time won't let be forgot
start to heal when the winter, at last, begins to unfreeze.

One can finally start to smile
to stay and enjoy sunshine for a while,
no longer looking over the shoulder at night
relaxing in sleep as everything is becoming alright.

Unburdening of guilt built up through the years
realising you were not to blame,
only trying to help but becoming one of the fallen
getting burnt out in Life's crazy game.

One finally starts to smile
stays, and enjoys, the sunshine awhile,
shoulders become eye-free at night
sleeping relaxed, for everything is now alright.
