Anyone reading this who was there today; yes, an element of stalking exists, also self exploratory in ways, although ultimately; a lot of fun. :)

The Long Lunch

these faces I know many
some short and some are thin
where I'm sitting it is perfect
I can watch them all come in

the band plays the sweetest covers
they cover my memories
and all the tables they are full
beneath the canvas in the breeze

I'm here to explore the humans
you know; the ones that are just like me
and the ones a little different
yeah, they're all helping me to see

that fun is pretty normal
especially in this longest lunch
voices, choices, faces
there's no ending in this bunch

my mind is the only camera
in this feast of wine and smile
and these words they are my snapshots
which I'll soon place on the pile

of effervescent moments
the type I will always adore
they bring the grace of inspiration
I could not ask for anything more... ☀

Lovely poem, and I smile with recognition. My own weakness is watching people in old photographs, imagining their history..

I really like the third and fourth stanzas. "I am here..." could refer to a specific place or the whole world. It's a wonderful poem.
