I was moved by Melanie Sues poem, '' His name was Tom Rose''. This is my reaction.

Ken D Williams

TO THE MEMRREY OF TOM ROSE

A lad I never met, his name Tom Rose ,

Passed this way , and passed a way ,

I never got too meet you , Tom Rose ,

Yet I am so sad that now we never will ,

You died I know not why , your pain to much

To bare ,

Your passing not gone unnoticed ,

Were their no one to Listen to you ,

No one to hear you? shear your pain ,

Your missed by those like me ,

Tho we never got to meet.

Thanks for your thoughts expressed through your poem, Ken. I never knew this lad either, although my son indirectly and vaguely did know him. Your poem also expresses how I feel too. I have cried so many tears over perfect strangers and having this ability to emphathize and sympathize often feels like a curse. It is why I rarely read newspapers and flip tv news channels to keep from hearing all the tragic events that daily occur .
