The reply

As Mars blood red stood silent witness
I offered my pain to the Mekong
My unguarded lips delivered your name
And I fell bleeding
Cut down by unfinished tears
You seduced me on the wisp of the wind
And stole away with the shadows of the night
I will not forget the moment
I will not forget the wonder
And while the stars are compelled to bright the night skies
And while the swan lays winter at my feet
I will listen to the song of your heart
And until my smile is broken
And the dark has seeped into my eyes
I will wander barefoot in the dew of memories
And find comfort in yesterdays dream
As Mars blood red stood silent witness
Dark waters slipped by
My unguarded lips delivered your name.
And my heart
My heart released your soul.

this to me feels like a powerful liberation from a very deep sorrow... it is very touching... the wording in the conclusion really did it for me to accentuate that feeling... emotive and descriptive write... *hugs* xx
