Humerus

As your hand attempts to
Touch her
She visits her usual corner
Thinking tomorrow she might
Be ready
To enter into your world...
A little.

Just give her one more kiss
On the back of her hand
Hilarious
Do not approach her elbow!
Wrist bones are wry enough...
Radius the tip of her ulna
Just enough.

Beware the slopes of Everest. There is easy going at first but the closer to the peak the more bloody impossible it gets. Nice one Linda.

Is this poem about Decorum, or is it about the fear of pushing on to more intimacy? I liked it. Personally I think the first half is stronger than the second but then maybe that strengthens the quesion.

Decorum! The rule of thumb.
I prefer kissing cheeks!
