(and this week´s thankyou goes to Ms M.J)

I could feel him

Pushing through the streets
Lifting the tree leaves and the clouds
Opening the top layers into outer space
Waving away the stardust
In seconds he went around the universe
Now landing with a quiet thud
Gently placing himself between the sprinklers

This was the sound I woke up to
He was definitely out there in my backyard
Resting against the weight of me knowing
Of his presence
Undergoing a full body-examination of the ceiling
Gasping for air I was surprised by a deep growl
Hunger; the body´s expression of hope

Soon I would push my hot face against the window
Thinking that if he saw me I would live
And his long strange stare would bend me back
Revealing who I truly was; a single mourning muscle
Don´t look   up look up   look up!
Uncurling and curling I wept into the curtain
Suddenly he raised his eyes
That´s when it happened
