Smiling Eyes, I am Here With Sunshine



Even as you are smiling
like a distant, approaching storm,
I see the pain in your eyes
and wish to reach out and help.

But distance is like a prison
trapping the hurt inside you,
yet you are not alone
spiritually I am quite near.

I know that that may not help
when you need to hold someone close,
and it's hard to keep those wolves away
when they're feeding on your fear.

But I hope to bring some comfort
to the pain behind smiling eyes,
YOU are such a BEAUTIFUL soul
and the sun shines on you still

.....I am here to help you feel it.
