Nothing left but time

There's nothing left but time
So time is all I have
To remind me of all the years.

What would I give
To unwind the clock
To step back into that fragile day
When the music was soft
And our words were quiet
Trembling but unafraid.

What would I give
To stop all your tears
Falling so very slowly to the ground
To escape time's hold
To live the story untold
To recapture the moments
That some how slipped away.

There's nothing left but time
So time is all I have
To remind me of all the years.

Yes,
What wouldn't one do
to step back in time
to rewind the clock
to relive the fragile day
to recapture the moment
that slipped away...
I love, the remorse, so beautifully described in your mallow way...
((Hugs))
Love,
Zoya
PS I guess, I came to your page, because, I was missing my old friends at PoetBay...

Malin Johansson
this was a very nice poem!
A good flow in it and I loved this part of the poem:
*
To live the story untold
To recapture the moments
That some how slipped away

This speaks volumes
about regret and it
is worded really well.

I always look forward
to reading your poetry
