Hatred Anger and Rage Gets You Nowhere

All the people stop to stare, You are thinking just dont dare
They see the pain in your eyes, you are feeling all drained out
You think that noone will talk to you, is this all new to you?
The abuse that you are going through, is all going to be anew

The reason why we go through these things, is because the devil pulls the strings
The cuts and bruises that we bear, are all just a matter of wear and tear
We carry our cross daily, and act like everything is okay
But the truth is that we are dying inside to let others know what we are going through

We cant open up our hearts yet, because we think it is all a bet
People talk and stare, but we dont care at the moment because of our hardened hearts
Thats when it all starts,hatred,anger,and rage all get in the way

We think that because of what we are going through now everyone will be the same
We hate to name names, but it is true in our minds eye
we just sit back and cry inside while the outside looks like nothing is wrong

When we let God step in and let Him show us the way,
That is when He takes the hatred,anger,and rage away and shows us that there are real people out there who do care about us
It gets us nowhere to have hatred,anger,and rage in our heart and soul


Thank you Lord for being there for us and showing us that You care for us
No matter what the outcome is or was!

Darla, I appreciate very much what you have written. Horrid things happen to good people in this imperfect world. There are times in everyone's life when it is hard to make it day to day. As you said, the devil pulls the strings. And those strings always lead to pain. I agree completely that people can fail us, ignoring or not realizing burdens we may bare. But as you said, if we allow God to step in, we will be given all we need to make it through this life. This is a very good and realistic look at the truths of life.

Hatred, anger and rage are destructive. Knowing what is wrong and right and standing up for what is right does not need any of these.
Hatred anger and rage tend to displace constructive and rational thought, leaving one tired and discouraged. I have always found it far better to make it a priority to rid my mind of these feelings as quickly as possible so as to think clearly about issues at hand. Progressive solutions are built of compassion, rational, empathy and patience. As your title so well claims, hatred, anger and rage get us nowhere!
