For Louis from someone who knows about the holes in our lives and the gardens that surround them.

Love Lingers While Hope Grows

When we lose the one we love

To the hands of heaven's call

It's hard to say goodbye

If we can ever say it at all

For there is left a hole

Where once a flower did bloom

It's empty of all seedlings

A dark and barren room

And never shall a flower

Grow through deadened earth

But a garden is still awaiting

For new seedlings to give birth

And in time the hole still lingers

But is surrounded by beauty complete

When once again an angel

Will come to sit at your feet

Wow.. so beautiful and so much love in this one
It's hard to find light again when we lost someone
But your poem gives us hope and your words went in to my heart
And never left..

Very well written

Very good Kathy!

I always have to wonder if we have one true love, will we ever find a second or third should we be lucky enough to find the second? Do you think it will depend on what seperates the two? How would one know whether they wanted to chance it again knowing the shortcomings there are in the best of marriages?

Not just a flower dear Kathy but a whole bunch will grow because this kindled hope will for sure one day bring a sunny day with smiling and dancing flowers around you. Nice one!!
