The simple beingness of a stone
No words or thoughts are real enoughto conjure up a crumb of bread
neither can they capture
the simple beingness of a stone.
Let the stone tell your heart
its unspeakable truth.
Let the bread you are eating
fill your mouth as well as your heart
with a silent song of gratitude and peace..
