Something someone said to me
ages ago has been nagging the
back of my mind.

Also inspired by Twilight.

~L.~

Flawed Diamond, Perfection.

Sitting alone in this grassy park,
apart from families, couples, in contrast stark,
awaiting relief in the kiss of dark
so I can be myself, alone in this grassy park.....

'Tis true apart in looks from others I stand,
that doesn't mean I don't
need someone to hold my hand,
The horizon I constantly scanned
but I'm still alone in this bleak land

of cotton doors of lost love
stale perfumed adorned
about you, yes I was warned,
forever shall you be mourned?

Why be perfect, all samey same?
a jewelled row in harmonic light reflection,

A flawed diamond, it just reflects,
a different form of perfection.....
