Presence
As I wake up in the night
and find myself afloat in emptiness
surrounded by a sea of silence,
you are all around me
like a fairy at my cradle
or a guardian angel for that matter,
filling me with unexpected awe
and worship of the express moment
as the sweetness of your music
quietly embalms me
as I sink into the sea of love
of precious piety and intimate respect,
as I feel there is nothing truer,
nothing more important and more palpable
than this existence of this actual love
that quietly pervades the universe
as I in perfect loneliness and silence
must accept the undeniability
that you are closing in on me
as love is getting nearer
in its universal intimacy
ruling powerfully all the world
as you engulf me
by your distant presence.
