Song I wrote at 4am, to a guitar piece a friend wrote.

Digging Deep

Sometimes she feels
Like nothing's real
It's all just a game inside her mind

She feels safer under cover
New clothes, different lovers
There's no peace, it's hard to find

She, has the eyes of a child
And a heart the size of a mountain
No beauty could compare with
The diamonds inside if she found them

There's always so much more,
Than what we see
Yeah I'm sure there's more
If you dig deep

Faith is often
Long forgotten
It's too damned easy to give up

If she'd start trying
Instead of crying
Her smile could light the whole town up

'Coz she has the eyes of a child
And a heart the size of a mountain
No beauty could compare with
The diamonds inside if she found them

There's always so much more
Than what we see
Yeah I'm sure that there's more
If you dig deep....

M Heathcote
A thoughtful and caring tone of voice; if only she'd looked if only she'd listened.
