MY LIFE AND I

In eagerness and dispirit
He elated my faith
Days of thwarted dreams
Gone with the dead

My heart so free
Beyond the truth I seek
As He chose to work with
My aboriginal name

A sacrifice I thought
Not of flesh and blood
But beyond flesh and blood
If I encounter the possibility

As I ran along
More friends I met along
I chose a few
Who were futuristic

Some offered me open arms
Some kept me on a target
But a mediocre crony
I became to all

My nine-to-five duties
Had better of me
And almost cut me off
From the ears of my cronies

Years became older
And I fought to refresh
My mind and mentality
In the pedagogy world

The Dominicus days
Was included in my race
To be perfected in all
As society demands

Comforting and exasperating
Life gradually fermented me
To mortal of my flesh
Whom once prayed for me.

I am amazed at the brilliance of these lines.
