A Lie?

I fail to comprehend
Everything is so blurred

I move through the mist
Calling your name
Reaching out for your hand

Only to find loneliness
Smirking back at me

Is it a nightmare or harsh reality?
There is nothing worse than not knowing

The voices in my head
Whisper to me
That all was a lie

I fight them back
Only to be engulfed with doubt

An escape was what I sought
When life threw you on my way

A new beginning was what you offered
In you, I found myself

If that be a lie, be it
A lie which cannot be denied.
