Never Hugged

Never hugged
As a child,
She yearned
For touch
From everyman,
To sate
Her neverending
Need,
Abyss,
Abberation.

Never hugged
As a child,
She never knew,
Just what to do,
When embraced.

How long
To clinch?

How long
To hug?

How hard
To press?

She never knew,
Quite what to do,
When in an embrace.

John Ashleigh
We take embrace for granted, indeed. Thanks for writing this.

Your friend,
John.

So true, children need affection, to see it experience, otherwise how can they grow as people ? If you don't receive affection in those vital years, then it will be sought in the wrong places
