Words
heart-felt wordsbetween friends
like poems
forced from the pen
on pain of death.
words in the air
re-break the hearts
of the already heartbroken
leaving the rest
untouched.
an old, textured envelope
in a wooden desk drawer
containing words
that would have melted
his heart
like hot wax.
stationary.
a heart
that no longer produces words
only sentiments
to be endured alone.
