Thankyou for your encouraging words
in my moment of stupidity.

You all are who warms my slowly defrosting heart.

A crack of light let in is spreading,
creeping ever closer -
slowly dispeling
a self-made dark

It's the light of friendship
and to realise that I am not
just left alone to drown
is what warms my
slowly defrosting heart.

.....Thank you for keeping me afloat
Your love has given back some hope.

Good poem, I really like the lines: slowly dispeling
a self-made dark

Well.... slightly awkward flow but
because of the tone of the poem that is not an isue.
I like the strength of visuals -
'creeping of a crack of light'!

and the self-made darkness is telling of what we often do to ourselves as journeyers in life.

the reader is then made to conjure what it is that defrosts the heart and what the narrator/speaker is drowning in....
could very well be tears....

mmmmm......
