Mid-Journey Crossroad

It's time to sit up
Cross my legs
Watch the sun
rise in a new dawn

The sun will rise even if I do not want it to
There's not much I can do about that
I'll make the best of out what I have
and get on my feet, to start my new journey.

We're identical
We have things in common
me and this new person
I met about two months ago

Books, Habits,
Siblings even, in a sense.
But then again,
It is a small world

But how much longer
Will I hold onto the sunset
Will I long for the darkness of the night
When I'm not a night dweller?

The shadows were my home once
but at the first chance I left them
I felt the heat on my face
and instantly found my place

I'm pretty sure my place is out here in the light
helping people as I can,
Whoever the one guiding will give me on the way,
well thats up to Him

John Ashleigh
The language you use is remarkable. So simple, yet so effective. The imagery stands out beautifully.

Regards,
John.
