Between the thought and the act,The anticipation and the culmination,
Between the dream and the reality,
The first kiss and the clenching climax,
Between what you give and what you take,
What you have and what you pray for,
Between the lines of what you write,
What you admit and what you deny,
Between all that you think you know
And all that you will never understand,
Between the easy words that you offer
And the hard honesties you withhold,
Is the essential truth of who you are.
