Fast Forward

Twitter and tweets
Are for cyber elites
But we computering snails
Remain with e-mails

Flash, hard and soft discs collect data faster
But for us dinosaurs, they're total disaster
Our reality accepts the bad and the good
But a reality that's virtual is misunderstood

Virtual reality may be a boon for humanity
But to some of us oldsters, it reeks with insanity
With new concepts flying by at such a fast pace
We wonder about the future of our human race

Count me as one of the snails. It's not really a Luddite mentality of fearing the destruction of the comfortable status quo by technology, but an instinctive distrust of anything I don't really understand and seem to survive quite well with not needing. I accept a certain paradoxical "but" as I send these electronic pulses into the ether of the internet and assume they will somehow arrive where they are intended to.

Toonist, perhaps, but you're light years ahead of smoke signals.

You know, if you put captions in your cartoons Stan could spend more time at the tables.

A techno-phobes nightmare for the advancement of know-how. An interesting topic to write about. Remember, we can grow at the same rate as technology - but some just choose not to. Thanks for sharing, a really enjoyable read.

Your friend,
John.

I'm not sure I buy it. You and Don seem pretty tech savvy to me.
