To those who endure and to the memory of those who didn't.

By the rail of betrayals

Someone has sown wood anemones
over the transit railway
laid through your heartland

Only whitecaps of flowers
on a green sea of windwhispering leaves
are now heard over the dark sleepers

And every evening
when we walk together
another short distance

           on the side

I only just dare to glance at your relieved face
when you sense the breeze at the rails end

You use words that drive meaning to each and every sentance. You're very talented.

John.
