THE TIME HAS MAY BE COME

The time has maybe come for us to part ,
One last hug , a last lingering shared smile ,

No need for last words too give you ,
All given when you needed them ,
Some you'll remember when you need them ,

All those years ago we first met ,
From that time too now ,
We walked side by side , talking , listening ,

Some times you jabbered fit to burst , I listened ,
At times you cried , I listened to why you were crying so ,
I explained , what too you was unexplainable ,

I turned the tears off , replaced them with giggles , laughter ,
Guided you away from harm , showed you the roads of life ,
Your choices were yours of course , what ever road you chose ,
I walked beside ,

You called me uncle , you called me friend , as always will be ,
Just think of me and I will be with you in the spirit of thinking ,
Now my dear friend , the time has arrived , as we know it would ,
Too bid farewell , hug one last time , I wish you well , my job dun ,

As we met in friendship , we part as freinds , in friendship

The man who wrote this fine poem is an excellent friend. I already knew this.

A lovely piece Ken, love reciprocated, you nurtured the relationship and it flourished for both of you.

This is beautiful Ken . . . love given and received, both lives better for what was shared and even now, where there is only what was, to know that it still is and will always be.
