My companion

Emptiness is keeping me company
in these beautiful rooms

Called you on the phone
you have enough
with your own anxiety

In the kitchen the pink geraniums are leaning
out, towards the light

In the drawing room white orchids
are exploding in unrestrained
flower clusters

What I have
it is here

Nothing prevents me anymore

Nothing, except the inexperience
having my time
to me and
myself

Loved the calm, solitary feel of this mixed with the everyday observations of the flowers.Enjoyed the final stanza, the word inexperience perfectly placed.
