Suddenly life strikes

with a razor sharp cut
straight over your brightest
dreams

Or by giving you a rose
to climb on
when you are struggling
up to the neck
in clay

The scar from the knife
you should cherish, softly perceive
with your fingertips
days of the tailwind
to not increase
of pride

The rose you should spin
from healing thoughts
of hope and confidence

Suddenly life strikes
again

Hans Bump
Thank you for such a beautiful and genuine piece.
For me, I felt a "paradoxical rhythm" to this poem; sweetness and hardship-love and anger, ect because that what life is about: riding the waves through our daily routines , and
" then life strikes ".
Sorry if I'm reading too much into it. but it was obviously compelling.
