Drawbridges Are All That

There's never something nice to say,
when you are being blown away,
but you know you'll be fine.
This is the time for kindness,
as you hit the slope, foot on the gas.
Slow down, you will be fine.

Its not about the suitcase.
Its not about the freedom,
or permission to fly;
but I fly tonight.

Sunglasses and money in my hat.
That's the only necessary,
got me, fallback.
There's always something that you need.
You have to take it when you leave,
'cause drawbridges are all that.

There's a commendable fluency and economy to this poem. I like it a lot.
