and everything else that keeps streaming in to the news and that we do not hear of, but that happens around the world and in our neighbourhoods
when they must wander onwards
How can I eat and throw my food away?
when they need food for the children they are forced to leave behind in the dusty roads
How can I weep?
when their tears are real, their burdens beyond my imagination
How can I speak?
when the world screams
How can I find words?
when I know they cannot help those women raped
those children starving
those men stripped of their dignity
my fellow human beings
The world bleeds
and I am powerless to help

How can I sleep?when they must wander onwards
