Song For A Bamboo Flute

Circling the pines

The long high cry of the hawk

One held haunting note

From a pool of rain

Doves spilling and hovering

A feathered fountain

Now they cry warnings

Beneath the hawk's silent wings

Death waits patiently

The ancient music

Hunger and fear, life and death

Eternal refrain

Indeed. You've sung it well.

Powerful stuff, c/f!
A very ominous piece, ripe with imagery. The descriptions of the hawk seize the imagination. I rather like him!
Ah, the circle of life! You capture it well. As per usual.
Applause!
