ME AND ME MATE WENT TO A PUB

Me mate phoned me ,

We arrange to meet up ,

At the Holly , halfway ,

Some how I found myself ,

Talking to some bloke ,

Spent most of the eavening ,

Chatting with the bloke ,

Me mate asked me ,

'' Who's he? '' ,

''Search me '',reply's me ,

'' Never met him before tonight '' ,

'' Lets play pool , mate '' ,

Well having an iffy , he got talking ,

To me , so me thought I did ,

Funny old thing is life , don't you think

You can drink anyplace. This is the reason why people go out. Well said, Ken.

Where we live is hopefully amusing...and if we are lucky we can write about it...on many levels.

I enjoyed this too. I envy your having a mate and a pub.

Hello, my friend.
I enjoyed this humorous account. Many times when I venture out I meet all manner of people, chat for ages (of course), yet somehow forget to ask their names. So this strikes a particular chord with me!
A very entertaining write :>)
