THE GREEN GRASS

The grass looked oh so greener over there ,

So just had too goo there , from here ,

Only to find it were just as green , as it were ,

Now over there , so I sat and thought , as I should of ,

When before I set off from over there , as now there ,

There is hear , so I suppose , I'm now neither here nor there ,

The sun , the light , made a trick ,

Do I remain , or return , from whence I'd come ,

Or is there a figment of wishful thinking ,

Mes , as the reading of this confirms

You're right, Ken. If you leave here for there, and stay very long, there never seems like here, but here seems more and more like there. You're not entirely in either.

"I'm now neither here nor there" describes many people, looking for something they will never find in a place or in someone else because it is something missing in themselves. If we are not "comfortable in our own skin" wherever we are, it's unlikely we will be anywhere.
